| About Us The LOTE department at Hampton Senior High School believe that in an ever increasingly global society it is imperative that students gain skills and understandings that may be useful in their future, whether in the social, cultural or vocational context or in their future careers. The Italian teachers at Hampton offer students a variety of tasks and activities to create a positive learning environment in the LOTE classrooms. Teachers are involved in new and innovative teaching strategies and enjoy incorporating games, computing skills and interactive activities into lessons. We actively encourage the concept that it is not only important that language skills are being taught, but also that the students obtain an understanding that there are many equally valuable cultures in the world. In doing so we hope to create a tolerance and appreciation of diversity. ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE LOTE DEPARTMENT AT HAMPTON SHS -Study Tour In 2006 Hampton Senior High School farewelled a group of students heading to Italy for the schools first ever Study Tour.
