Gifted and Talented Dance
Gifted and Talented Dance
This program operates under the auspices of the Gifted and Talented unit
of the Department of Education and Training, and is one of only two specialised
dance programs the state of Western Australia. It is a program of excellence
and is designed to extend and develop talents and giftedness in students
in the art form of dance. Students study a wide variety of dance styles
as part of the dance program and are given many performance opportunities
throughout each year.
Dance genres studied:
- contemporary - ballet
- jazz - spanish
- tap - hip - hop
- belly dance - latin dance
- composition (choreography) - production & design
- capoeira - yoga & stretch
