Feedback received after productions and activities at the school is always appreciated and shared with the students and staff involved.  An acknowledgement of thanks was sent in response to the following feedback received after this years production of ‘Me and My Girl’

“Dear Sir/Madam
 Me and My Girl Production
My partner and I attended the performance on Friday evening of the above production.

I wish to say many congratulations to the school for a wonderful evening’s entertainment.   The enthusiasm and dedication from all the students was amazing.   They were obviously all having a wonderful time enjoying themselves.

As an amateur theatre person of over 40 years experience I thoroughly understand the complications of producing such a large scale musical – so much to think about – stage craft – set changes – lighting – sound – projection  – characterisation, etc.,   The young students worked hard at all those things, thanks obviously to their dedicated teachers who instructed them.

I have to make mention of a few of the characters.   Excellent job was done by Caleb Walcot as Billy.  He had the character right in the palm of his hand.  A particularly good performance came from Sam Bourke as Gerald who also got into the right character and amused us considerably!   Lucy Donaldson as the Duchess of Dene also held her character so well – her stage presence was tops.  I also particularly liked Rohit Holt as the Butler – what a superb job he did too.  For a student of young years he acted the part out with full maturity.  The whole cast were all so good.

I was Musical Director for this show many years ago at the Limelight Theatre in Wanneroo (1998) so had lots of connections with the show and the characters.  I relived all the songs with such happy memories.  Thank you once again.

Yours sincerely
Lyn Brown”
