2019 – Sung Zah Ngo
This year’s recipient of the Lisa White Award of Encouragement goes to a Year 10 student who has consistently achieved A grades in Mathematics, English, Science and Humanities. Her outstanding results are a reflection of her exceptional dedication to her studies as well as her excellent work ethic. In addition, she is a very polite, motivated student who has been involved with a range of extra-curricular activities such as Student Council and the Applied Science program.
2018 – Charlie Gillam
Charlie Gillam received the Lisa White Encouragement Award for 2018 in recognition of her consistent and admirable efforts at school. Her diligent and enthusiastic approach to her work, combined with her responsible attitude is reflected in the highly positive grades and comments given by her teachers. While Charlie has achieved sound results across a broad range of subjects, she has demonstrated an especially high degree of aptitude and interest in practical-oriented courses such as Design & Technology and Physical Education. As Vice-Captain of the Jupiter faction, Charlie continues to show great potential as a leader.
2017 – Madison Bunn
Madison Bunn, the 2017 recipient of the LWA is an enthusiastic and hard working member of the Student Council. As a school leader, Maddy has been the driving force behind fund-raising initiatives for causes such as the Cancer Council and CanTeen, as well as advocating for improved facilities and the enhancement of student life at Hampton. As a student, Maddy demonstrates a high degree of organisation, initiative and effective communication. She is a highly valued class member who consistently applies herself to achieve excellent results.
2016 – Geena Gill
Geena is a very worthy recipient working extremely hard and consistently. She sets herself a very high benchmark and strives to improve from an already high standard. Geena’s ambition is to have a career in Medicine. She is also an all-round achiever. She recently came 1st Runner Up in the Junior Category MyEye Competition for the Macular foundation, (a photography competition). This was a national competition with students entering from around Australia.
2015 – Elise Francis
This year’s recipient of the inaugural Lisa White Award of Encouragement goes to a Year 10 student who has achieved 8 A Grades and 1 B Grade out of a possible 9 grades. In addition, she is a very polite, motivated student who has been involved with a range of extra-curricular activities such as Write a Book in a Day competition, sports and athletics carnivals, the after school Applied Science program and assisting with primary school visits.

Hampton Senior High School would like to thank and recognise Mr and Mrs Ken and Enid White for their support with the ‘Lisa White Encouragement Award’. This award proudly presented in honour of the memory of their daughter Lisa a former student at Hampton SHS.
Lisa’s reference presented to her as she graduated in 1984 details her character, resilience and perseverance which are the key characteristics taken into account when selecting a Year 10 student to receive the award. The Lisa White Encouragement Award is presented at our Presentation Night which is held at Winthrop Hall at the University of Western Australia.
