School Uniform: Dress Code

The aim of the dress code is to:

  • Promote safety by making students easily recognised on school grounds.
  • Enhance school identity and spirit and reduce competitive pressure on students in the choice of school clothing.
  • Improve safety by promoting safe footwear and jewellery.


All Students:

  • Navy blue track pants, shorts or skirt
  • Navy blue rugby style jumper with Hampton logo
  • Navy blue jacket with red trim and Hampton logo


Lower School Years 7 – 9

  • Navy blue polo shirt with Hampton logo and collar


Middle / Senior School Years 10 – 12

  • Grey polo shirt with Hampton Logo and collar
  • Navy Hampton SHS Senior School Leaver’s top (ordered through Student Services)
  • Navy blue rugby style jumper with Hampton logo
  • Navy blue jacket with red trim and Hampton logo

Hampton Senior High School uniforms are provided by Nell Gray (Uniform Concepts)


The Nell Gray Uniform superstore is located at 832 Beaufort Street Inglewood.


  • Full credit card and Eftpos facilities are available.
  • Uniform Concepts offer online ordering with the option of collection at the store or delivery to home.
  • Layby service – to assist parents financially a layby option is offered in busy back to school periods.

  • Suitable low heeled shoes or sandals with covered toe, ankle and backstrap are permitted.
  • No high heels , ‘slip ons’ or ugg boots due to safety issues
  • Covered footwear is essential in all practical areas such as Science, Design & Technology and Home Economics eg. sneakers


Additional points for all students

  • Midriff or low cut tops are not permitted at school
  • No visible logos except for the EA and Hampton logos
  • Shorts and/or skirts must be similar length to items sold at uniform shop


Jewellery & Body Adornments

These items must be unobtrusive and not a health or safety hazard.

  • Minimal amount of jewellery is permitted  eg. watch and ring
  • No more than one small sleeper or stud in the ear is permitted
  • Studs or rings in any part of the face are not permitted for safety reasons
  • Makeup is not encouraged

Students who do not attend in full uniform will be required to change into a loan uniform for the day or sent home to change into school uniform
